Our founding attorney, Renée Ross, has once again been named to the prestigious list of Super Lawyers – an accomplishment earned by only 5% of all practicing attorneys. This is the third year in a row she has received the award, and we’re honored to announce her continual recognition for excellence in the field. Not only was Renee name a Super Lawyer, she was also named one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Northern California by Super Lawyers.

The stringent selection process executed by the Super Lawyers committee makes Renée’s continual recognition all the more impressive. To qualify, candidates must pass a multi-phase selection process, beginning with peer nomination. No attorney is allowed to nominate themself, nor can they campaign for the recognition. Rather, they must be recommended by a peer, managing partner survey, third-party feedback, or identified by the Super Lawyers research team.

Independent research is conducted on 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition. Attorneys are evaluated on their accomplishments, honors, special licenses, position within the firm, pro bono and community service, scholarly lectures, and the client experience they provide. If they pass this phase, they advance to the peer evaluation portion of the process. Here, candidates with the highest point totals from the first 2 steps are evaluated by a Blue Ribbon Panel comprised of peers in the same primary practice area. After peer review, a small number of representatives from small, medium, and large firms are selected.

A Certified Family Law Specialist dedicated to providing effective, compassionate representation to families throughout Northern California, Renée’s continual recognition by Supers Lawyers is a well-deserved honor. She also regularly contributes to our local community by volunteering her time at the Alameda County Bar Association, where she lends her legal expertise to those in need.
